Species: Prunus persica

History: Our peach seedlings are sprouted from seeds from several varieties which include:

  1. Siberian C - usually used as a rootstock but good for fresh eating
  2. Vivid - a delicious and pretty variety sourced from Niagara
  3. Redhaven - a popular variety that grows well for us, sourced from our orchard
  4. Veteran - a sweet peach that grows well for us, sourced from our orchard

Why We Grow It: Unlike some fruits like apples, peaches don't tend to vary as much when grown from seed so you're likely to get something good when these seedlings grow into their own unique variety! Alternatively, they could be used for grafting.
