Mindemoya Maroon Crabapple Seedling
Mindemoya Maroon Crabapple Seedling
History: Mindemoya Maroon was discovered near Mindemoya, Ontario by Wayne when he was vacationing on Manitoulin Island with his family in 2020. It was named for the location where it was found and the red flesh of the crabapple. Seeds were then taken from these crabapples and we are excited to see how they will turn out!
Why We Grow It: Always excited to try new things, we are looking forward to the first variety introduced by Silver Creek Nursery! Although these seedlings will differ from their parent in many ways, it will be a pleasant surprise once they start producing fruit. As such, these seedlings would best be used as fenceline trees or to attract wildlife.
