Where do I get budwood?

Budwood can be obtained from various sellers such as Summerland Varieties, though they do have a minimum order requirement.

Budwood can also be harvested from your own trees if you have a tree you wish to propagate.

We do not sell budwood, as we are so busy grafting our own trees we don't have time to coordinate selling. Budwood is best used within 24 hrs of cutting, but can be stored in cool damp conditions for up to 5 days. The longer it sits however, the less viable the buds. And remember when storing budwood or scionwood, make sure it is stored without fruit or veg, which releases ethylene gas, causing buds to go irreversibly dormant.
