Why We Grow It: Apple seedlings tend to vary quite notably from their parents so it's hard to say what the fruit will be like. For anyone interested in planting a fence line or putting some trees in to feed wildlife, this would be a good option for you!
Canadian Hardiness Zone: 5, could be hardier
Soil Preference: Sandy loam, loam, clay loam. Prefers average to moist conditions, avoid planting anywhere that floods for more than two weeks in the spring. Generally quite adaptable to different soil conditions.
Sun/Shade: Full sun (approx. 8-10 hours of sun daily)
Pollination: Requires a pollinator of a different apple variety that blooms around the same time
Flowering Time: Spring
Bloom Colour: White or pink
Ripens: Late summer or fall
Storage: May keep a few weeks or several months when stored in cool, humid conditions
