Use these spiral guards to keep mice, rabbits, and other critters from girdling your tree. 24 inches high.
We are pleased to offer two options for spiral guards: white plastic guards and green biodegradable guards. The white guards help to avoid damage from the sun and trapping excessive heat around the base of your tree due to the white colour reflecting sunlight rather than absorbing it. The biodegradable guards are made of starch based plastic and rated for 2 years, which is nearly as long as the plastic spirals last.
Both types of guards will get brittle after a few years and begin cracking/disintegrating. With the green biodegradable guards, there is no plastic waste to reclaim from your orchard once they begin breaking down.

Shipping: Every year we ship thousands of trees across Canada (except BC due to CFIA regulations). We carefully bag roots in damp sawdust, then box them and send them out via courrier. CLICK HERE to see our shipping policy.
Pick-up: We also have thousands of trees picked up from our nursery each year. The pick-up options is free, though you must wait until you have been emailed a confirmation that your order is ready to pick up, which will have further information such as hours, locations, etc. We really appreciate if you can make an appointment to pick up, then we can be as organized as possible during our busy season.
