History: The origins of Beer's Black are a mystery, but the excellent fruit proves why it continues to be a popular variety today!

Why We Grow It: Beer's Black produces medium figs with dark violet skin and magenta flesh that are quite sweet. They are excellent for eating fresh or drying!

Soil Preferance: Sandy loam and loam, plenty or organic material. Prefers well-drained soils.

Sun/Shade Requirements: Prefers full sun (approx. 8-10 hours of sun daily) but will tolerate partial shade

General Growth Habit: Reaches 1.5-2m tall, spreading growth habit

Pick-up: We also have thousands of trees picked up from our nursery each year. The pick-up options is free, though you must wait until you have been emailed a confirmation that your order is ready to pick up, which will have further information such as hours, locations, etc.
