Papillon Blanc (translated from French as 'white butterfly') was created by plant breeder J.W.A. Lefeber in the Netherlands. It first flowered in 1940 and was introduced in 1960. Designated a classic by the American Daffodil Society, this variety remains popular for its pure white perianth and pale yellow cup.
