Hardy Black Blackberry Bareroot

History: Hardy Black originated in Nova Scotia. As the name implies, the variety was selected for its hardiness along with excellent fruit. 

Why We Grow It: This hardy variety produces large, dark berries that are sweet and juicy. To make it even better, they bear fruit over a long period of time which gives you that much more of an opportunity to enjoy these lovely berries.

Soil Preferance: Loam and sandy loam, prefers soils that are moist but well-drained

Flowering Time:

Pollination Requirements: Self-pollinating, this variety will produce fruit without a different blackberry variety but will produce more and better fruit if one is present

Sun/Shade Requirements: Full sun (approx. 8-10 hours of sun daily)

General Growth Habit: Vigorous and hardy, thorny canes, produces crop over an extended period of time
